GLO Farm Sanctuary announced a major fundraising campaign to purchase and convert a fully equipped mobile veterinary unit from a retiring Ontario veterinarian.

The goal announced in March 2026 was $50,000. The unit would become a permanent surgical and diagnostic space on site, bringing advanced care closer to the animals who live at GLO.

The campaign responds to the challenges of travelling long distances when a resident needs complex surgery or advanced diagnostics. The sanctuary’s announcement described the journey to the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph as more than six hours.

Care where they feel at home.

An on-site surgical space would help the sanctuary build on its existing veterinary care and reduce stressful journeys for vulnerable residents.
